Two-day ARTS® workshop for professionals – Split, 15 and 16 October 2026
Two days devoted entirely to professional work on stuttering: theory that explains why traditional control techniques are becoming outdated, and practice you can apply straight away. Work live with the author of the ARTS® approach, at the first workshop of its kind in Croatia.
Who the workshop is for
Speech-language pathologists, psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and other professionals who work with people who stutter – from school-age children and adolescents to adults.

Programme by day
Schedule and breaks
Both days follow the same structure: 15 and 16 October 2026, 9:00–17:00, with two coffee breaks and a lunch break.
What the programme covers
Theory and practice are interwoven over both days: desensitisation work, practical examples from ARTS® programme participants, and a group therapy demonstration with volunteers from the Horizons of Voice Association.
PEER MENTORING GROUP – support after the workshop
Prof. Sisskin offers participants who attend both days of training the opportunity to join a peer mentoring group. Through monthly meetings, each focused on a specific topic, you receive support in applying the ARTS® approach in your own practice.
The group is made up of professionals who have completed the workshop, so the exchange of experience continues after you return to everyday practice – not only during the monthly meeting.

Where do the events take place?
At Split Technology Park (Tehnološki park Split). Detailed directions and parking information are sent to registered participants by email.
How much are the tickets?
Two-day workshop for professionals: €300. Interactive lecture: €70. Tickets are sold through Adriaticket; places are limited.
In which language are the events held?
In English, with interpretation into Croatian.
What is included in the workshop price?
Both days of training, lunch and two coffee breaks each day, and a certificate of attendance.
Will I receive continuing education credits?
Participants receive a certificate of attendance, and credits from professional chambers where possible.
What is the PEER MENTORING GROUP?
Prof. Sisskin offers participants who attend both days of training the opportunity to join a peer mentoring group. Through monthly meetings, each focused on a specific topic, you receive support in applying the ARTS® approach in your own practice.
Who are the collaborators at the workshop?
Prof. Sisskin’s collaborators – people who have completed or are going through the ARTS® programme – will share their experience and be available for further questions. Volunteers from the Horizons of Voice Association, who are also people who stutter, take part in a panel and in the group therapy demonstration.
Can I take part if I am not a speech-language pathologist?
The workshop is also intended for psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors. The lecture on 17 October is open to everyone – people who stutter, parents and the general public.
I am coming from abroad. Is the event open to participants from neighbouring countries?
Yes, and we are looking forward to welcoming them.
